Spiritual Itinerary
The most frequent request I hear is for recommendations for spiritual experiences in Bali. My first month-long visit to the island was for this purpose in 2013. At the time, I was on a three-month sabbatical from Microsoft and my husband and I were "taking a break" from our marriage to "figure things out". I had just come from Australia, where I got to see my favorite band perform two nights at the Sydney Opera House.
Initially I planned to stay 5 nights in Ubud and then go to Seminyak for a week-long surf & yoga retreat with two extra days to relax afterwards, but I loved Bali so much that I was sitting on the beach in Sanur just after sunrise as my flight to Thailand took off without me. The way I felt on this island was different than anywhere I had been and I said to myself, I need to live here someday.
Each of the the next two years, I returned again for a month; In 2015 I was with my new partner and we were there to find a home for ourselves and in which we could host amazing people coming to Bali for their own transformational experience. Through a series of miraculous synchronicities, we found that place and hosted over 50 incredible guests during our 6 month stay in 2016. That was the start of Zelement Club and we have since hosted experiences in winter and summer destinations across Asia, North America and Europe.
Here I share with you a selection of the inspiring people and places that have made Bali feel like home or have been a part of my own spiritual growth.

Clara Energy HealingClara has been our go-to for over 7 years to do readings and energy work for us and our guests. She's a regular person with a beautiful gift. Plan a bit in advance as she can get pretty busy and sometimes goes on her own surf explorations around the islands of Indonesia.

The Practice Yoga ShalaThe Practice has been our social hub for years. Especially make it a point to go to Ellen's Kirtan, Emma's women's circle, Octavio's teachings, Ming's QiGong, or any of Nik's classes.

Pyramids of ChiGo spend a day (or 3) at the Pyramids of Chi near Ubud. Look for a man with short white hair wearing either a white or black linen outfit, have a chat with him. His name is Peter and he his wife created the place. He's a legend.

7 Islands Bakery and CafeWhen this place opened in 2015, we became fast friends with Jirka, the fabulous host, baker and owner and we have been cheering each other on ever since. Have some homemade recipes and strike up a conversation with the person next to you. (Now closed and on to new adventures. It was a wonderful 10 years.)
